Backup the Linux os remotely

Hai all

             How can I backup the image (bootable image )of an installed linux operating system from a remote linux machine
 ( both machines are in the same network ) ?

You can use rsync to backup files via ssh, you will need to reinstall grub2 if you restore the data.

To backup entire filesystems/partitions, please take a look at fsarchiver
