my hardisk saying bad sector what does it mean?

i used this command to check disk
its giving following result
sudo badblocks -sv /dev/sda

Its dying, not dead. The badness will spread like a puddle. It is mechanically faulty. I suggest you backup as much data as you can that you haven't already got backed up, slam in a new drive and install.

i used DBAN.now its working .
for dban go to www.dban.org
