Problem importing photos/video

Asked by William Sellman

I just purchased a Kodak Playfull camera. I am unable to download anything, photos or video from it to my computer. Kodak support told me Kodak products are "not compatible" with Linux. Is there a solution to this or will I be unable to download anything?

Not familiar with your camera, but as they said, Kodak and Linux does not work most times. I suggest, that you buy a card reader, and use removeable memory. That works well for me. I think there is some way to move photos, from internal memory, to removeable memory. Again not familiar with your camera, but card readers are cheap.

Thanks, Mike, that's essentially what Kodak suggested. I just hope I don't run into "some card readers aren't compatible with Linux."
