Renaming USB Flash Stick in Ubuntu

Asked by Teunis Ott

I just bought a KINGSTON USB stick (in order to repair Ubuntu in workstation).
In my Ubuntu laptop the USB stick appears as /media/KINGSTON .
I would like to change that name to a mnemonic for what I am going to put in it.
I have done that in the past with external drives, but now it does not seem to work.

Would it be possible to do that on my wife's PC (Vista)?

Teun Ott.
