How do I set up my laptop to be able to be viewed by using "Remotix Lite"?

Okay so I would like to know how exactly I could use a remote desktop application or program to access my laptop on the go. I've currently installed "Remotix Lite" on my android phone and I've also installed X11VNC on my laptop...I'm just confused on how to get the connection working... I need some help...!

What are you connecting to desktop to achieve? There are often far sleeker solutions than VNC etc.
