Hello Yzfvie,
Have you attempted to plug your iPod into your computer and use Banshee or Rhythmbox?

I had tried Banchee but it kept crashing. I was able to access and transfer the files with Rhythmbox so I am not worried about loosing them now but the files are in Mac format and I cannot read the properties ie titles, artist etc. Files are in folders F00 to F49 and file names are like example AJAH.m4p. I will try other things before I completely reformat the IPOD. Thanks.
