Error while copying to Disk ___ destination is read only

first of all i'm thanking you for this opportunities...

i am a newbie i have installed ubuntu 11.10 with alongside Windows xp. initially that was working fine. but after some installation of programs i cannot access my local disks. i have partitioned 8 drives. 1 has windows and second one has ubuntu. right now i can access my home folder. but i cannot access other drives. when i am trying too copy and paste this message came "Error while copying to Disk__ Destination is read only". so please assist me

ntfs format. i have formatted through windows xp.

i did chkdsk through windows. they state "F Parameter is not specified CHKDSK Is running read only mode" here what'd i do bro...

i did chkdsk all my drive but after this also i cannot write my drives and usb also///

use the right click menu in the file browser to test your partitions as ok

Could you provide file /etc/fstab ?
In which folders are mounted NTFS files on Linux file tree ?
