I would recommend you to use ubuntu live cd. Just insert the cd into the tray which you used to install ubuntu on your system and choose the option "Try it" without installing it. You can access all your data and can recover anything from pc. There are many other live cd distros available on net. you can choose anyone if you want. One of those is puppy linux. It is very small compared to many other linux distros.

To download (latest version) click here:
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/puppylinux/puppy-5.3/slacko-5.3-MAIN.iso

it's just 125 mb.

OR you can try slax (200 mb)
from
http://www.slax.org/get_slax.php?download=iso

Your bootloader is probably bad configured. You have to reinstall it: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Reinstalling_GRUB2

I tried both. I think it helped to reload the missing stuff, like the one that helped with XP, though i am not a technical person. Now it boots normally. Thank you for your help.
