Hi Brittomail,

I assume you are asking if it's possible to have an account that always has sudo (root) permission to mount drives?.

If so, that defeats the purpose of having security in Ubuntu. If someone is 'authorise permanently' to do that then they would also be able to do anything else as well...

what are you trying to do? are you trying to have a drive that is not currently being mounted automatically mount each time you turn the computer on?

if this is so, you need to edit your fstab file.

to edit your /etc/fstab please open a terminal then type:

gksudo gedit /etc/fstab
