sd card not working in Acer Aspire One D260 with Ubuntu Netbook 10.10

Asked by Guillermo Ortiz

Hello forum,

SD card slot works with Windows 7 installed. Then, I suppose
that BIOS is OK. But, this does not work when I boot from Ubuntu
Netbook 10.10 using kernel version 2.6.35-28-generic, Neither when
I put a sd card into the slot and then reboot from linux.

here is the lspci output

Seems that no driver is installed, is not it?

Thanks in advance any suggestion or comment.

If you boot with an SD card in the slot, is it accessible after login?

"Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04f2:b1d8 Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd" seems to be a WebCam.
SD cards are usually read via a reader connected to USB.
E.g. mine is "Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:0111 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Card Reader"

You could have a look at:

For me, it's time to go bed. Post again if this link doesn't provide you a solution.
