Icons for mounted partitions not shown in Classic version of 11.04

Asked by greyebeard8550

Installed 10.10 Ubuntu-Studio from Alt CD. All works fine. Did Cdrom-upgrade from 11.04 Ubuntu-Studio Alternate Cd. In Unity desktop Mounted Drives show up in the sidepane as they should. In the Classic mode, they do not show when mounted. At present, I have created shortcuts for the normally used Drives/Partitions on the desktop. Once the drives/partitions are mounted, lineing these up by name activates these shortcuts. What is needed to get the regular icons back on the desktop?

Make sure the options are selected to show on the desktop (This shows how to NOT show them but you get the idea).
