Can´t access and view mac files on ubuntu

Asked by Humberto Rodríguez

I have a MAC external hard drive with video and audio files. When plugged to my Ubuntu machine, I used a sudo nautilus terminal to get access to the hard drive disc, but the files where the audio and video are contained appear like 0 bytes text files, so getting access to music and video it´s impossible.
Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with permissions as my sudo nautilus gave me full acces to the mac HD; for some reason, my ubuntu isn´t able to read the audio and video files correctly.
Pleas advise.
Thanks.

I suggest you ditch proprietary filesysyem and use something both can use.

Can you help with this problem?
