target filesytem doesnt have requested /sbin/init

Asked by ghostaman

Hi guys,

Have had a major meltdown with my system.

Upon booting I get the following:

target filesystem doesnt have requested /sbin/init.
no init found. Try passing init=bootarg.

I am running 10.10 and unfortunately I DONT have a live CD/DVD of 10.10.

Am working on getting a CD so is there a solution for both situations. I have to confess
I am a little bit of a noob but I am willing to have a go and am not completely lost.

Any help greatly appreciated.

cheers ghost
