Fuji Finepix memory card reader not working on ubuntu9.10

Switched from Windows to Ubuntu 9.10 recently and find that Ubuntu doesn't recognize my Fuji Finepix memory card reader DPC-R1 or my Fuji Finepix A210 camera so no photo downloads available.Setup discs from Fuji are for Windows and Mac only.I did install gphoto2 but still nothing.Any similar problem or workarounds?John(new user to Ubuntu)

If you can plug your reader in, and then we can see what chip you have, and this will allow us to search for possible solutions.

to do this, open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T, or from applications menu), then post the results of this command, ensuring your device is plugged in:

lsusb
