cannot load my harddrive passport in ubuntu 10

I am running windows 7 and ubuntu10 on my laptop i have used my WD passport 500Gig portable harddrive on windows 7 but ubuntu will not load the drivers or allow me to unlock the hard drive does anyone have a solution please. I have opened all the folder i can and just get the error message "cannot load drivers"

Dear friend,

   Try the following...

First solution
----------------

Give fdisk -l find your Disk as SATA like sdxx something
Type dmraid -E -r /dev/sdxx
(Replacing xx with your actual device found in step 3)
Confirm that yes, you wish to remove the dmraid information.!
After that it will appear ok.

Second Solution
--------------------
Try installing wine --> apt-get install wine
Then try to access the drive from wine..!!
