Error when clicking "Check" in Update Manager on Hardy

A previous user got the following errors when clicking "Check" in Update Manager

"I have this problem with check update in update manager, also couldn't add any application in Add/Remove menu..

Here is the message occured when i clicked "check" in update manager:

I am getting the same, except on."...Translation-en_gb" or "...GB". I also run 8.04 and am scared to accept any updatres in case it breaks my computer and i have to send it back to Linux Emporium to get it fixed.

What is going on, please?

Normally 48 updates take place - only 45 came in - with several "Fail" lines on the Translations.

I am scared to accept anything. Canonical - please could you fix this as a matter of urgency.

Apologies - hit "Solved" by mistake. I suspect this a major incident with your UK kit.. and the Australian kit as well.

You can try with main server,but this is not something to be worried about.They are just language pack updates and without them you will still be just fine.

I ran "Check" again at about 8:50 (my time)... all now OK and updates collected.

In this days due the high load caused by the net upgrades of installed Ubuntu 9.04 systems to the Ubuntu 9.10 beta release there are some issue on the servers.
