update-manager package

It wont let me do any updates. When i try to so them this error message pops up and thats as far as i can go untill it is fixed

You need to make this line in your sources list ineffective.

Open a Terminal and issue the command: gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

This will open your sources list in the editor called "gedit".

Put a # at the front of line 1. Save in gedit. Exit gedit.

Now, in the Terminal, issue the commands:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Does this work - or do you get another error message?
