This is just I guess. I have been experience a similar problem with 8.10. I am pretty sure the problem is due to the new release. The repositories are having significantly more traffic than usual. I would wait a few days and am expecting the problem to go away and traffic returns to normal.

The repos are being hit pretty hard by all the users, so they can be
bogged down. You may have luck finding a different, faster mirror
through the Software Sources application (in the System> Administration
menu). Click the Server pulldown and choose other and it can try to find
a better one.

You could also use the apt-p2p application (a personal favorite) which
uses bittorrent to download and share between apt users. It does take a
little reconfiguration to make use of it, directions are on the apt-p2p
website.

If you are new to Ubuntu, I would stick to changing the repo. The p2p
option is a little more advanced to get working properly.

Hi, I try finding a faster mirror thought the software sources application. It started to ping all the servers, but it stop at the 289 of 290. Then it gives me the error, No suitable download server was found. Please check your internet connection.
My internet seem to work OK since I'm using it right now to right this!!

It is just the repository load. Once the rush to get ubuntu upgraded dies down over the next week or so, you should be able to get the updates fine. Try finding a fast server again and see if it works now.

Can you help with this problem?
