Could not initialize the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 'wget' is not known on line 65 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Thanks for your bugreport.

It looks like your /etc/apt/sources.list file got corrupted, please fix it by removing the line 65 and try again:

'E:Type 'wget' is not known on line 65 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Type this on terminal ...

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

And, as Michael Vogt said, please remove line 65 from sources.list ...
Just delete the line ...
