Cannot update Acer ONE

Asked by John Hart

Update manager runs into some file that can't be authenticated which causes the update to fail.

Here is the output of the message in my Software Sources:
W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 60D11217247D1CFF

The computer is using 2.6.27.9 generic and won't upgrade to .11

Using Ubuntu 8.10 2.6.27.9 generic

Update: I kept trying, I checked the Packages only box and tried again without success. I continued to try and I finally got the update to go all the wat to completion. Now it is updated to 2.6.27.11generic

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs.
