update-manager package

update manager says package information updated 54 days ago ie does not reset after update

I start update manager. It successfully finds updates. I download them. But update manager does not reset but adds another day to when it says it was last updated. How can I reset it?
I tried uninstalling update manager and reinstalling but it still said last update was 54 days ago.

wget https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8850924/fixpackage
chmod +x ./fixpackage
sudo ./fixpackage

Will fix it.
