Which Ubuntu and version did you install?

http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Documentation/Ubuntu-Manual-53530.shtml

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Official-Ubuntu-12-04-LTS-Manual-Is-Now-Available-278686.shtml

The above sites have a lot of information on Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 12.04.

Hi
it keeps asking for the log in key ring, which i do not know, very basic here. i think it is the version from 2010. if i try to install a new version or update it it asks how to open it and sends it to archive manager ?

Megan
Press Ctrl+Alt+T to bring up Terminal. Copy and Past the command........ lsb_release -a
If it ask for a password, put in the password you made when you installed Ubuntu. You will see nothing, it will take it when you press enter.
The people answering are all over the world, so there may be gaps in time. Some one will answer your question.
Does your computer have Ubuntu only?
Does your computer have Ubuntu and Windows?
Did you use Wubi to install Ubuntu?
How did you obtain Ubuntu?
There are many things that could be causing these problems. The more information you give, the quicker the answer.
Try your password to log in key ring.
Odd about Firefox 3, I have version 18.0.1.
Study the sites given above, while waiting on answers.
I am calling it a night, talk tomorrow.
