Update manager not working

Hi ,
from command line give these commands

~$ sudo apt-key update
~$ sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Resolved ?

IF NOT , then add keys manually with bellow commands (Copy-paste commands from here to terminal for more accuracy)

~$ sudo apt-key adv --recv-key --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 40976EAF437D05B5
~$ sudo apt-key adv --recv-key --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 16126D3A3E5C1192
~$ sudo apt-key adv --recv-key --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 40976EAF437D05B5
~$ sudo apt-get udpate ; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Now should be smooth.

If you add PPAs using:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:address

YOu will add the PPA and the key.

getting same results. Is there a fle that can rename and create a new key file?

Also you can delete the keys and add them again ..

~$ gksudo software-properties-gtk

Go to "Authentication" tab and delete any keys related with your problem.

Then to import again the Ubuntu original keys you can do

~$ sudo apt-key update

and try again

~$ sudo apt-get update

This solved problem and fixed the update program. I am trying to learn Linux/Ubuntu command stuff to diagnose problems. Using a Sobell book and launchpad.net. Any other tools you can suggest will be appreciated.
