Can't have the packages for making music and movies work properly

I have Ubuntu 9.4 on Packard Bell CPU 2.6 and HD 1Terra, and can't upgrade to 12.10. the music and Vidéo players don't find packages to work properly

the 12.10 is now unstable so please do not use or install it...
then you cannot update the 9.04 release directly to 12.04 release you need to made

9.04 → 9.10 → 10.04 → 12.04

release upgrades

so i strongly suggest you to made a backup of your relevant files and please install a fresh stable ubuntu 12.04 release
