Updating oracle-java7-installer error

Asked by Luis Angel Vizcarrondo on 2012-09-11

My Update manager was doing some updating and I declined and update for oracle-java7-installer by mistake. I ran Update manager again to install it; but, "Declined License" message keep showing up. How can I fix this.

I am also facing same problem. The ouptu of above command is:

  Version table:

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu

sudo apt-get --purge remove oracle-java7-installer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer

May do it

Isn't their a way to just accept the license? This would completely remove and then reinstall the package.

Try:

sudo apt-get --purge --reinstall oracle-java7-installer

May not need to redownload it (I'm guessing you have a sucky web connection with limited download)

try the step described unter the heading "Update" in http://www.webupd8.org/2012/01/install-oracle-java-jdk-7-in-ubuntu-via.html

Tryed the "Update" fix, but it did not do anything. No errors or messeges to reporrt. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Accepted lisence.

Seems to work now.

Thank you all.
