Ubuntu 12.04.1- New upgrade ?

Asked by Inderjit Singh

In the official site of ubuntu , there is new version of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. The same is not available through Update Manager of my current version of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Whether it is worth getting or I should wait for 12.10 which is coming on 18th Oct. Any way if it is official new upgrade, it should be available through Update manager. Please guide me.

12.04 (codenamed 'Precise')is LTS and will be supported far beyond when Quantal (Ubuntu 12.10) is EOL. 12.10 will have the latest packages and so forth but if the system is a server or the long support appeals to you then install Precise.

You can upgrade to Quantal from Precise as it is the next release, this will be offered soon after Quantal is released.
