An upgrade from 'jaunty' to 'lucid' is not supported with this tool

I'm not surprised. Jaunty is old. I suggest that you back everything up first then do a clean install with 12.04.1

You need to update to Karmic first, then to Lucid. Lucid is also EOL soon so you will need to upgrade to Precise which you can do from Lucid but I suggest you just clean install with Precise now and make life easier. You can restore user data from your backups
