update manager not opening

Please help me with this
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header

I got this message soon after I entered 'sudo fuser -vvv /var/lib/dpkg/lock'

But the SOFTWARE UPDATE CENTER is opened and also UPDATE MANAGER

Then close those, alternatively reboot, then retry the commands
