Update manager will not show the upgrade from 12.04 to 12.04.1
I have received the notification that 12.04.1 has been released.
So I have many times opened the Update manager, in Ubuntu 12.04, and asked it to check for update. The Setting are set for:
Install updates from Ŕecommended Updates'and Ṕroposed updates´
The result, after handling some 12.04 updates, is null. There are no updates available.
How do I get 12.04.1 to appear on the Update manager?
Ubuntu: 12.04
Machine: VMWare Fusion 5.0.0 on Mac OS 10.7.4.

Looks like you are up to date

Yes, it looks like that but in previous updates I have never seen the
update. So I think the update was made but never shown. This could be
confusing if you could not check out the update via terminal.

Ubuntu LTS subreleases with a third level version number, like 12.04.1 are not "normal" Ubuntu releases.
They exist for Long Term Support versions only and and are a kind of milestone and no real new version. At this milestone (a fixed date) the Installation images for download are renewed to reflect all the updates since the main release. It gives people the change to install more quickly without having to do a lot of updates. It also contains bugfixed for the installer programms.
If you are having an already installed version of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS you will not notice the actual change. There are just some minor updates to the version number strings which were done weeks ago. Everything came with the normal updates.
As you see from the outputs you posted above you already have 12.04.1 LTS.

Thanks Thomas Krüger, that solved my question.
