broken pipeline

Well i have run a ton of Sudo commands to get the problem fixed and still get this
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/mate-keyring_1.0.0-1_i386.deb: trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/libgcr.so.0.0.0', which is also in package libgcr0 2.92.92.is.2.32.1-0ubuntu2.1

*I can't get into the software sources to change things and I have tried
several things short of total erase and restart over again ! . . Only
reason I did the mate thing is because of the bleeping floating icons
       Totally hate them it was the biggest mistake they have ever made
