ubuntu update window: expanded 'details' section makes buttons unavailable on small screens

Asked by draptik

Hi,

this is certainly not a show stopper, but I thought that the canonical design team might want to know...

The system update/upgrade window offers an expand button ('Details').
The details show the output of stdout.
BUT the window for stdout seems to have a default minimum height which does not scale with small displays.

Since pictures speak more than words, here is a 'before' and 'after' clicking on the 'Details' button:

I think that the cli-box should not be allowed to expand as much as it does.

Cheers,

Patrick

You can hold ALT and drag the window from any point, may help

@actionparship Thanks for your answer. But holding ALT and draging does not do anything on my eeepc.

Like I said: this is not a show stopper. But I think this window should be redesigned so the cli part does not expand the containing window.
