update manager & protect ubuntu

1 - i want to update my ubuntu but this message appeared "The action would require the installation of packages from not authenticated sources."
and i tried to install updates from "terminal" but that message still appearing???

2 - i wonder if the ubuntu system effect to virus & how to make sure that it is protected from virus , because i sharing my files with windows system by flash memory??

Can you give the output of:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

You don't have a virus, you simply added a PPA and not it's key, nothing more. Ubuntu does not have viruses.
