Installing the update - the administration password

Hi. I have a question about installing patches in Ubuntu 11.10. Some fixes that are installed without a password administrator. Is this a deliberate action, whether the error?

Yes, Ubuntu 11.10 don't ask for password when you install update. It's a choice made by developers.
