Requires installation of untrusted packages

during update for codes in ubuntu 11.04 below error msg comes.

"Requires installation of untrusted packages"
"The action would require the installation of packages from not authenticated sources."

details:

this even restricts for any further updates.
please guide regarding this problem.

the update server is India.

Please open a terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

or press the "verify" button on the update-manager dialog window

the below code provided by you for terminal to update, the process has been started.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

I didnt find any "verify" in update manager there are
-check
-install
-settings
-close

are available in window.

any ways after the update, Is there any possibility to play the music and other multimedia files?

be sure are you using update-manager but the terminal commands are simply and more useful than gui to debug your errors so please use them:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

thanks ones again Marco it really solved my problem.

In general, I asking, last week i have installed ubuntu 11.04, got the updates very easily but today the problem of "Requires installation of untrusted packages" raises..
is this is a server problem or anything ealse.

It may happen when servers aren't synced.
Temporarily switching to main server usually solves the issue.
