distro update issues...11.04-11.10

For some reason my computer goes into a update panic half way through checking its update im trying to update my distro to 11.10

the error says
Failed to download repository information

Check your Internet connection.

You are attempting to upgrade from 11.04 to 10.10. You wanted to upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10. Search for a different link.
