I can not to update packages
I have a problem with Ubuntu 11.04
Unity 2D...
I am not able to run
1- update-manager
2- Synaptic
3- Software center
1. Update-manager: Stop during Building dependencies
2. Software-manager: Stop after class/categories of appl.
displayed
3. Synaptic program: Stop before i can search a package...
I think that theses packages can not write in the ubuntu core...
even if in my user spaces i can download and or edit files...
May I have to reinstall all ubuntu from LiveCD?

=======
AT THE PLACE OF your last line i write the following's one
sudo apt-get -y --reinstall install software-center
(First of all I open a terminal and run the
command apt-get -h to know what's meaning...
i don't find the option --reistall... i
supposed that it shall be --reinstall. I close
this terminal before opening a new one and
launch all your commands)

the problem shall be resolved
by reinstall ubuntu from the CD...
It's an economics point of view...
it's taking less time to reinstall
that to wait to solve...

Unity needs full 3D accelleration to run. Log in to the classic desktop and get 3D accelleration working and you can use Unity, Alternatively you can use unity 2D on hardware which doesn't support 3D accelleration.
Unfortunately you got bitten by one of the weaknesses in package based distros. If the packages get screwed up you cannot instal or uninstall apps :(
