Ubuntu 11.04 upgrade aborted

I have been receiving Ubuntu 11.04 updates and it always aborts on the second to last step. Is there something i need to do ahead of time on the next update? I have Ubuntu 9.04 now.

You cannot upgrade from Jaunty to Natty. You must upgrade first to Karmic, Then from Karmic to Lucid, Then from Lucid to Maverick, Then Maverick to Natty.

This will take a LONG time and the old settings may cause issues in the new OS. I suggest you make sure your backups are sufficiently recent and reinstall Natty using the live CD. The OS will be stabler and it will take less time than upgrading.
