Cannot download 11.04 from update manager. Cannot read release notes.

Attempted to download 11.04 release of Ubuntu, but got the message that my computer could not read the release notes and to check my Internet connection. My Internet connection is working fine. Any suggestions?

Eventually my main problem was that the 'updater' had given me the 64-bit download (i686), and although it went onto the machine OK, I use an NVidia graphic card and a known bug was activated (see release notes on the CD-iso image). After several attempts I have now managed to load the 32-bit classic graphical screen. Now just got to get the graphic card to become active again ( not sure what I'm using, but sure its soluble - its only machine code after all. )
Anyway thanks for all the help. Its bloody great to know thgat you are there, thanks loads more!

Sorry to be a pain, however I have just gone to activate my computer and it could not output in a format that my screen can recieve. So I reloaded my 32-bit download and it has put me back into a 64-bit system, using Unity. Ihave no problems with this, but I do need to know how I can stabilize my Ubuntu distro, I do not want to hae to reload the system each time I switch on.
