Netbook upgrade 10.04 to 10.10
Hello,
I am trying to upgrade an Asus 1005 netbook and get an error message that states that it is prereleased version and will not install. I updated all before trying the upgrade.

Allan

Hello,
I am still having a problem. The first part of your soultion was already set to normal so it was not necessary to change.
This is the message that appears:
Could not determine the upgrade
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
E:Error, pkgProblemResol
caused by held packages.
This can be caused by:
* Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu
If none of this applies, then please report this bug against the
'update-manager' package and include the files in
/var/log/

You ran:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -f; install; sudo apt-get -y upgrade
The command I gave was:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -f install; sudo apt-get -y upgrade
Why did you change my command? YOu can copy / paste to the terminal which is why I give the exact command. You can break your OS with malformed commands VERY easily

Can you check if you have xserver-
If you have, can you try to remove that package and start the upgrade again?
