Ubuntu 10.10 upgrade problem

I have tried to upgrade Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 via cd but canceled it as it was using the net and now it wont come up with any updates. Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have already tried to log out then log back in and start update manager but still nothing comes up. I have already added the 10.10 cd to the other software sources and still nothing comes up apart from the message that the system was updated less than an hour ago but no updates found.

Just t o be sure witch version do you run type

lsb_release -a

If you have separate home you can do fresh install of Maverick.If you don´t have separate home make one following http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/separatehome .After making separate home you can do clean install of Maverick and your setings and files will be safe.

In Update-Manager, open Preferences, and check that "Only install LTS version" is not enabled, else Update-Manager will wait next LTS, i.e. 12.04.

Thanks for your answers but these do not solve my problem, unfortunately.

Zvacet, the release version is 10.04.1

Delance, I have been through all of the update settings. First started off as LTS only after I installed Ubuntu so I clicked settings and changed this to normal release but 10.10 upgrade still does not show!!!!

P.S.
I do not know if this is related or not but I am in the UK, using a UK update server but the translation-GB files return "Failed" without pause!!

I have now re-installed Ubuntu using the newest version I have (9.10) but I seem to be having the same problem here too...
No newer updates, I have set the settings to Normal Releases.

I'm really frustrated but I will never give up as I love Linux!!
