Upgrading 10.04 64 bit to !0.10 64 bit via update manager

Asked by Jason Tobin

Hello;

I am currently having issues with the upgrade, I am getting the following error message at about the third step in upgrade process,
***
W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
*****

and then update application just closes nothing happens.
If anyone had any ideas to get around this error message would be great. Also if you need more information from me about this feel free to ask.

Kind Regards;

Jason

Like I said it is already set to that I checked it twice now and I am still getting the following error

***
W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Sorry, it did not fix the issue, still need some assistance

Kind Regards;

Jason

http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz
 this is a ppa and does not come with a base upgrade it has to be un- checked to do upgrade then can be updated after upgrade . un-check in software center , then try .

I had to remove a few of them to get it to work. Just matched up the errors with software sources or ppa sremoved the ones that were giving me errors.
