updates offered for Ubuntu 12.1 when I have 10.04 LTS?

I am running Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. I usually take updates offered online, but the latest offering is 99 packages said to be "changes for version 5.1.4-3ubuntu12.1" and "12.3". Is this genuine? Should I ask for them to be installed? If not why do I get this?

That 12.3 number is not related to Ubuntu itself. It is just a coincidence that some package reached that number. Install without fear.
