upgrading ubuntu 8.10 to ubuntu 9.04 Desktop Edition

Asked by pradeep

I have Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop Edition Installed and I want to upgrade it to Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop Edition.
Also, I have a CD of Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop Edition.
So Is there any way to upgrade my ubuntu to ubuntu 9.04 without downloading ubuntu 9.04 again.

When I put Ubuntu 9.04 CD in my DVD ROM no message for Upgrade Comes.

it could be done via a cdrom (with the 9.04 version) with: gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade" in the terminal.
