Can I install full UBUNTU on netbook

Asked by Ronaldo

I would like to install UBUNTU full version on my Gateway netbook. 2 MB RAM, 250 GB HD, AMD Athlon.
Is this viable, or should I use the remix version?

Sure, its better than most of my system, it will run it well. You can install from CD (make sure you MD5 test the ISO before burning to ensure data integrity) or as Ing. Forigua says, install from USB.

Technically, you can but its highly recommended that you get the netbook remix
as it is optimized for netbooks

Thanks for your quick replies.
I think I will go with the remix version as it is optimized for netbooks.
My plan is to put linux on my netbook for use as a learning tool, before installing on my desktop.
Hope it all works out.
Thanks again.
