Changeing visual effects

Asked by Andy Scott

When trying to change visual effects in Preferences / appearance from none to normal, I get "mutter is running cannot change visual effects" it worked fine in 10.04

Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook remix.

How do you log in with Gnome ? and if visual effect are changed there will they then apply in Mutter ?

At the loginscreen click your name,then look at the bottom of the screen. It allowsyou to change what desktop you login to. Change that then enter your password and login.should be ok
