What reports from 14.04 testing are appropriate?

Asked by David

I have tried out unity8-desktop-session-mir on 14.04 on my laptop. When I log in all I get is a black screen and a large cursor. [1]

Would it be useful to report this (along with my graphics card details [2])? Or does the experimental status mean the package is provided just for my curiosity, no feedback needed (because the development team are already tackling the broader issues).

[1] What would I see in the ideal scenario?

[2] I'm using a hybrid graphics card, Intel + Nvidia, with the Nvidia card disabled via Bumblebee, so it should be running just Intel with free software drivers.
