If you want to make your own then I suggest you copy one from ~/.config/autorun to the desktop. Edit it as you wish, then move it to /usr/share/applications making sure it has a unique name. You can then find it in the Dash and drag to the left as usual.

If the application is already present in the Dash, just search for it then drag it to the launcher.

If you do a long click on a launcher, you can move it up and down on the launcher panel and change the order that the icons appear.
