Enable IPv6 on HP Vista

pavilion dv6 - 1290 es (Vista)...Ubuntu 14.04.. with cable I get 300/30 Mbit/s..but wireles just 30/30 Mbit/s..on same hardware with vista only 100/30 Mbit/s with cable.... eternet is ipV4 , is this because no N receiver in my comp? does ipV6 can work on a/b wireles? thank´s

The IP version does not dictate speed of connection. It's just a different way to address systems as you would conventionally do with IPv4. Using IPv6 does not make a connection any faster or slower.

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C network; lsb_release -a; uname -a
