how do i bring back the clock which i accidentally deleted on my desktop?

I accidentally deleted the timepiece on my desktop. How do I recover that?

Open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and try this

sudo apt-get install indicator-datetime

may need to log out and back in again or reboot to see it

If it's already installed, press ALT+F2 and run:

/usr/lib/indicator-datetime/indicator-datetime-service

If it runs ok then add it as a startup item (If Warren's command doesn't autostart)
