How do I open games once I install them?

Asked by Heather Porter

I installed a couple games but I can't find them to open them. If I look under installed in the software center they are listed but the only option they give me is to remove.

Have you tried searching for them by name in the dash?

Games from the Software Center Frozen Bubble, Freecell solitare ect. I don't know where to go to open them once they are installed. I've had this OS for 3 days and I am constantly fighting with it.

Open the dash (the top icon on the dock like thing at the side and start typing, freecell or frozen bubble, they will appear in the results, just click them to open them.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

I've just tried it on Precise with Frozen-Bubble

With the default unity desktop Unity. I can't see it in the dash but If I start typing the name it appears.

If I go to the Gnome Classic mode which I prefer Its in the application menu under Games.

The classic mode isn't installed by default. It makes Ubuntu look more like it was in 10.04. If you want to know how to get it ask and I'll provide instructions
